How Billing Works for Instructors

The New-Student Referral Fee

The platform charges instructors a one-time referral fee when they complete a lesson with a student who found them through the platform for the first time.

Fee amounts:

• Golf: $20 per new student
• Pickleball: $15 per new student
• Tennis: $20 per new student

This fee is charged to the instructor — students are never charged by the platform.

When Is the Fee Charged?

The fee is charged after you mark a booking as completed in your dashboard. It is only charged once per unique student relationship. If the same student books with you again, no additional fee is charged.

If a booking is cancelled before the lesson takes place, no fee is charged regardless of the cancellation window.

Payment Method

You'll add a credit or debit card during onboarding. This card is kept on file and charged automatically when a new-student fee is triggered. You can update your card at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Payment Method.

What Happens If a Charge Fails?

If your card on file is declined, the charge will be marked as failed and you'll see a warning banner in your dashboard. Update your payment method as soon as possible to avoid service interruption. We'll retry failed charges after you update your card.

Receipts

A downloadable receipt is available for every successful charge in Dashboard → Earnings → Charge History. Click "Download" next to any "Succeeded" charge to open the receipt.
